Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Spanish Sprint handles learner data today and how future account, AI, and purchase
features are intended to work once they are activated for public release.
Overview
Spanish Sprint is a Spanish learning app focused on grammar drills, vocabulary review, flashcards, and CEFR
progress tracking. The current product is designed to be local-first: learner progress, streaks, mistakes,
and review state are stored on the device by default.
Information stored on your device
- Your onboarding choices, including prior-study range, learning goal, preferred focus, speaking-confidence rating, selected level, and daily practice target.
- Your diagnostic score summary, estimated starting path, and matched review areas. Raw diagnostic answers are not retained after onboarding.
- Lesson progress, session history, streaks, XP, and achievement state.
- Your exact last answer for missed vocabulary and conjugation practice, the expected correction, miss counts, and flashcard review scheduling.
- Local app preferences such as onboarding completion and study settings.
Information not sent as product analytics
Spanish Sprint is designed not to use raw learner answers, expected answers, tutor prompts, free-form study
topics, email addresses, payment identifiers, audio, or transcripts as general product analytics events.
Optional anonymous analytics
Spanish Sprint can send privacy-minimized product events such as app opens, onboarding milestones, screen
views, session starts or completions, lesson completion, answer correctness classes, streak changes,
achievement unlocks, paywall views, and purchase outcome classes. These events use a random installation
identifier generated by the app and do not use an advertising identifier, Apple user identifier, name, or
email address.
Analytics events are queued so they do not block learning. You can disable anonymous analytics in the app's
Account screen. Disabling analytics clears the queued events, analytics token, and random installation
identifier stored by the app.
Installation and audience labels are reported by the app and are used for directional product analysis;
they are not advertising profiles or financially authoritative records.
Accounts, AI, and purchases
Guest mode by default
Spanish Sprint works without an account. On iOS, you may optionally use Sign in with Apple to associate local
progress with your Apple-provided user identifier on that device. Spanish Sprint requests your name for profile
display, does not request your Apple email address, and does not currently provide cloud account sync.
AI tutor requests
The product is intended to support an AI tutor that turns a goal into a structured study plan. If that
service is activated, the app is designed to send a structured study topic, CEFR level, daily minutes, and
normalized weak-skill identifiers to an authenticated application server. It is not intended to send your full
practice history as an unrestricted prompt log.
Purchases and subscriptions
Public subscriptions are not live at this time. If premium billing is activated, purchases will be handled
through Apple on iPhone and entitlement status is intended to be verified by the application server.
Retention, deletion, and support
Analytics retention
Pseudonymous analytics installations and events may be retained for up to 400 days to measure activation,
learning engagement, and retention. Development, internal QA, demo, and App Review installations can be
classified separately and are excluded from default business metrics.
Local deletion
Because the current learning profile is local-first, deleting the app or clearing app data on your device may
remove your stored progress unless account sync is active in a later release.
Contact
Privacy and deletion questions can be sent to
support@spanishsprint.lat or submitted through the
support page.
Future account deletion
If a server-backed account system is activated, Spanish Sprint intends to provide an account deletion path
through the support channel described at spanishsprint.lat/support.
Children
Spanish Sprint is not intended for children under 13 without parental involvement. If you believe a child has
provided personal information through a future account feature, use the support page to request review.
Policy updates
This policy may be updated as the app moves from a local-first build to a public release. Material changes
should be reflected with a new effective date on this page.
